Mu Epsilon Delta is intended to encompass the broader pre-health community. Pre-health can include students pursuing medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant careers, veterinary medicine, and other healthcare-related fields.

At Iowa specifically, MED offers a combination of professional development, networking, service, leadership opportunities, academic support, and social events.
